Apply Now: OJA Spring 2020 Class Scheduled to Begin in February

The Opportunity Jobs Academy (OJA) will proudly begin its tenth class at Edgewater High School and second class at Jones High School in February 2020. The OJA program showcases workplace skills, real-world education and hands-on mentoring to guide students towards fulfilling careers and financial independence. Our ideal participant is seeking career exposure and guidance, and to develop the skills needed for full-time employment both as a student and beyond.

The current curriculum is produced in partnership with the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation (AHLEF) and the Orlando After-School All-Stars (ASAS). Students will receive an OJA Training Certification and have the opportunity to earn the Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) certification – recognized as the highest acknowledgment of award-winning guest service for employees in the lodging industry.

The OJA course is scheduled to meet two times a week after-school, over a period of ten weeks. Our ideal participant is seeking career exposure and guidance, and to develop the skills needed for full-time employment both as a student and beyond. The first day of class is scheduled to begin the week of February 2, 2020.
