Pell Grants lifting kids out of poverty and into middle class

If you honestly believe you could never attain a goal, would you even try? Many disadvantaged students are scared away by the high cost of college, and this fear discourages them from working hard in high school in order to qualify for college.

Without strategies for low-income families to get an education and gain access to the middle class, they are stuck in the endless cycle of poverty. The recent tragic events in Baltimore are rooted in frustration — frustration over a lack of access to opportunities that will help people lift themselves out of poverty.
